1. General Principle
At Soft The Next, we specialize in custom software development and consulting. Unlike physical products, our services involve the expenditure of time and intellectual expertise. Therefore, once a project phase has commenced or resources have been allocated, refunds are generally not provided except under specific conditions outlined below.
2. Cancellation Policy
Before Project Kick-off
If you cancel a project within 3 business days of signing the contract AND before any actual development work has started, you are eligible for a full refund of the advance payment, minus a nominal processing fee (5%).
During Development
If you cancel the project midway, no refund will be issued for the initial advance or for any milestones already completed. You will be billed for all work done up to the date of cancellation.
3. Warranty Period (Bug Fixes)
We stand by the quality of our code. Instead of refunds, we offer a Warranty Period (typically 30-90 days) as defined in your contract.
During this period, any bugs or errors found within the agreed-upon scope will be fixed free of charge. New feature requests or changes to the original scope are not considered bugs and are billable.
4. Exceptions
Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis ONLY if:
- Soft The Next is unable to deliver the project due to our own internal constraints.
- There is a breach of contract by Soft The Next that cannot be rectified.
